The American Way Of Life Poem by Joe Moore

They run down field and score the win,
They shoot the ball and make it in.

They swing the bat, and make a base,
They cross the line and win the race.

Sports go on at normal a rate,
While soldiers are left to their fate.

They fight the most important game,
Where they will receive no fame.

Soldiers are the real athletes,
And in war they bravely compete.

Yet Americans only see,
Sports on News and on TV.

So the reason we all enjoy,
The athletes that sports employ.

Is because of the soldiers sacrifice,
For the American Way of Life.
