The Angel Opened Her Eyes Poem by Paul Warren

The Angel Opened Her Eyes

I stood before the Angel
As the breeze kissed my face
Her wings fluttered in the wind
And the Angel opened her eyes

I knelt before her
And was touched by her
Bright colours exploded into view
Such a feeling of contentment
Spread out before me

Suddenly those things that tormented me
Left me and flew away
For today was the day
The Angel opened her eyes and took me in.
