The Angels Call Poem by William Montgomery

The Angels Call

Leafs fall around us as time goes by changes happen in the sky way up high snow starts to fall and we hear angels call on the white covered floor there's blood and gore its only then that you see the bullet hole in my chest gods really putting us to the test minutes turn to hours and winter kills the flowers its then i realize Ive been dead for years but i still see you shed tears i whisper from the grave 'be brave' as a spirit i will always be with you watching you grow and stop you from hitting a low you will always have my soul i promised you i would never let you go and although i am dead i will light the road ahead and hope you find some one else to share your heart though we will never really be apart.

just remember the good times we had at the start holding hands and watching bands

touching lips and grabbing hips sharing that portion of chips

we lasted 10 long years and celebrated with champagne and beers

it was on the walk home that i was shot and lost blood a lot

as i slowly faded away i remembered that we had such a awesome day

you held me in your arms and told me everything would be alright as long as i fightBut i cant escape the light its just to bright i start to lose my sight

and with the last ounce of energy i kiss you one last time a victim of a vicious crime
