The Angry Dog Poem by Sicelo Sithole

The Angry Dog

Rating: 4.5

In the morning he barks
angry as ever
he curses all the mouths that shout
and curse the cold day and weather
angry as he is
with no food, plans, clothes and the worries on 'life fees'
he blesses all the thoughts of this new day

I enjoyed your poem very much, although I must say that I don't hear the barking of dogs as angry - just talkative - sometimes with an urgent message - sometimes passing messages to other dogs and sometimes talking to us humans - but then, we humans aren't clever enough to understand everything they say. I like to believe that some of us who listen with a kind, loving and compassionate ear, really do hear some of what they say. Smiles.
