The Armchair Poem by Jacqueline Williams

The Armchair

I like to choose an armchair and curl up with a book
Either fiction, fact or romance, I like to take a look.
To wallow in the thriller, what a glorious place to be
And get to grips with Ages Past in history B.C.

Those murder stories always make me nervous I might add
So I wait until the evening when I'm sitting next to dad.
And the horror of the Vampire tale, of sucking out the blood
Is so evil when considered, if the writers very good.

Yes I like to choose an armchair, when in a book I peep
Though it's sometimes way too comfy...
and I often fall asleep.
