The Awakening. Poem by Ankit Damani

The Awakening.

transfixed, you stared right into its eyes. The endless tunnels of grey gore invited us in.
speechless, I ripped your mind. Now you hover still, fragments flying everywhere.
elated, it burst apart, freeing us in beseeching worlds of weightlessness.
screaming, you saved its soul, flowers and all in harmony.
withered, I swept across, reaching for the blissful abyss.
smiling, you let me go. I fly.
