The Ballad Of Bliss Poem by Angela Collins

The Ballad Of Bliss

Rating: 3.5

I’m lost in a deep sea of darkness
Watching you shining bright,
My only lonely hope
Is your stunning pillar of light.

I’m watching you dancing
In the deep sea blue
Thinking all the while
That a pretzel boasts less curves than you...

You’re gliding through the water
A figure of dreamy grace.
You spot me through the corner of your eye
And hurriedly quicken your pace.

Now I’m sliding through the water
With a nervy anxious haste.
In a bold move I grasp your sweet hand
And place my other around your waist.

Your eyes fixate upon me
And we slowly begin to dance,
It must be admitted that by this time
You’ve snared me in a trance!

Now gazing into your eyes
I am filled head to toe in bliss.
It is thus unfortunate that all
Will be forgotten with our first kiss.
