The Beast Is Wild Poem by Ibn Ali

The Beast Is Wild

I see a sea of scenes unseen
Screens the seen
My dreams besieged
Teams of fiends
Planted seeds
A Lotus in a rose filled field
Petals plucked
Hoary headed trees with leaves that freeze
And branches broken
I search to seek what this could mean
It seems to seize not cease
My mind is time
I wind the clock
And hear the chime
It's time, it's time, I fear the time
My yesterdays and todays combine
Hopes are carrots on sticks and strings
Dangled close to gnashing teeth
I chase
The ground beneath me torn
I'm filled with rage
The beast is wild
The beast is wild
But patience tames
