The Beast Within Poem by Alex Fischer

The Beast Within

In the hours of the dark
There is not a singing lark
As the beast strolls through the park
Looking for vengeance, soon will strike
With tooth and fists, so horribly strong
Killing any who block its path
Under blanket of Moon and Star

In the dead of night
When the sky hath no light
The beast will always put up a fight
Whenever an opposer comes to fright
The beast will always win no matter who shall fight

Now you may wonder what this beast looks like
I'll tell you now so listen close
He's 6'2' from head to toe
He has broad shoulders and large arms
Long legs with muscle shorn
Dark brown eyes and long black hair
With a rough few face that looks like it doesn't care
He appears to be scrawny, but he’s muscle built
That, in fact, is what most of his weight is
Sly and quiet, yet loud and mean
This beast roams under the darkness; that is this scene

Now this beast only comes out at night
From within a single man
It does not come out, but it comes forth
Locked deep inside the man's body

It only comes out when hatred reigns
Unstoppable it is
Death is its name

So if you see this man during the night
Make sure you try to stay on his good side
For if you making mad
Surely you shall die
And then to Heaven or Hell
Your soul shall fly
Under the cold blanket of the darkness of night
