The Beautiful West
Over the quay a heavy haze laid
Like the whole place was the sky
And a bright yellow ambience was formed
This where a tired sun crawled in
Turning his back at us.
From my picture of it
It looked like an electric bulb
Hanging up in the horizon
And the smallest man in the house
Curious as he was asked what it was
I simply said it was the beautiful west
Of twilight at dusk!
