The Bed Unmade - Poem by Kyle Schlicher

as i think of you
and the time
we no longer
keep
together
i stumble
precipitously
through
each
mo rning
constantly
dogged
by
the bed unmade.

    Abandoned Temple Love Sheets

    a dark depression
    love lost haunting
    loneliness left
    each morning waking
    to empty haunting
    bed left abandoned unmade
    cold sheets grief lost left
    never feels again

    covers gone lover's
    body which silent left
    plan day preparation packed
    or terminal sudden night
    departed never again graces
    abandoned love temple sheets

nicely penned, Kyle. I couldn't say if it can celebrate Women's Day at best ;) - but surely it's a very good poem, indeed. Thanks for sharing (Report) Reply
