The Birth Of Spring Poem by Melissa Buhagiar

The Birth Of Spring

The birth of spring
brings with it the sweetness of your smile,
breathing in the sweet scent of flowers
as we walk hand in hand together,
marvelling at the beauty
Our eyes do see
around us,
and within each other's eyes.

Softly I serenade you
as you lay in my arms
contented, and calm,
caressing me with the softness
of thy soul
that encompasses me
like a blue sky
after the rain has faded
into a fleeting far off memory.

In the distance we can hear a stream trickling past us,
heading on to were the radiant sun doth shine;
Sweetly I kiss you
and with equal sweetness you kiss me
as we lay together,
and gaze upon the wonder of springs coming
that brought with it the wonder
of having you here at my side,
And with it the knowledge that
I out of all the girls sitting under the same vast sky
am the winner of your heart;

Feeling you so close to me
More closer than you have ever been in my deepest dreams,
or most decadent desires.

There are many people that we meet in our lives but only a very few will make a lasting impression on our minds and hearts It is these people that we will think of often and who will always remain important to us as true friends
