The Black Death Poem by Mazen Youssef

The Black Death

Rating: 5.0

The dark disease
ravages across the
land.

Hungry, mad
and slashing
the land.

Feeding on the
human population.

It's undefeatable and
slashes through a
million souls.

No form of justice
at all,

All the landlords, peasants
and even the priests all say:

A-tishoo, A-tishoo

May god save us all...

The devastating effect of deadly epidemic is well depicted in the poem. An insightful piece of poetry, elegantly brought forth in good diction with conviction. A beautiful poem indeed. Thanks for sharing Mazen. Please read my poem POETIC MASTERPIECE.
