The Black Dog 2.0 Poem by Sarah Elizabeth Clark

The Black Dog 2.0

Rating: 5.0

The black dog needs a master
to stop it roaming free,
and chain it behind fences
where it may not bother me.

It takes a hardened mistress
with direction and a plan,
to silence all the howls and growls
but if you're strong you can.

The black dog is destructive
so one must face it down,
send that damned beast packing
fleeing from the town.

Anyone who feels low every now and again, and allows the black dog to get out of control will relate to the struggle and determination behind this poem. Well done for writing this powerful poem.
