The Black Forest Poem by B.J. Ayers

The Black Forest

Rating: 2.7

The Black Forest

Timber swaying back and forth
Hidden in the dark of night
Ending a day of light

Blackened beyond Hills it adorns
Lazy in its own right
Crackling sounds of creatures scurrying
Kicking up the leaves

Forests are dark and creepy at night
Only those who venture know
Rest in peace for you may find
Everlasting dreams
Soft are the steps as you venture forward
Tonight it waits for the brave at heart.
