The Black Room Poem by Grace.M Collins

The Black Room

A door is opened, but the room is black
There's nothing to see and nothing to hear
Will you turn back?
Are you afraid of what you don't understand?
And when the only light is fire
Then will everything burn?
The things you couldn't see in the dark,
Well you can't see them in the light either
Now that they're gone
Now that there's nothing but flame, ash and destruction
And who is to blame?
The things in the dark?
Because you don't know them
Because you don't understand them
No
It's the fault of the one to start the fire
And you lit the match
Instead of joining the dark room for just a moment
So that you could switch on the light
