There once was this little boy who wanted a boat, but he had no money, so he decided to ask the Lord.
'Dear Lord, ' the boy said, 'will you please give me a boat.'
The Lord gave him nails.
'Dear Lord, ' the boy said, 'will you pretty please give me a boat.'
The Lord led the boy to different types of wood.
'Dear Lord, ' the boy said once more, 'will you please give me a boat.'
The Lord did not give the boy a boat, instead gave the boy an oar.
'Dear Lord, ' the boy said, 'I've prayed to you over and over again, and you still have not answered my prayers.'
'My child, ' said the Lord, 'You have asked me for a boat, and I have given you the supplies, but you must build it.'
