The Bogibeel Bridge Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Bogibeel Bridge

The Bogibeel Brodge,
The rail-cum-road bridge
Showing the Northeast dreams
The journey starts from Assam
Taking to Arunachal and its beyond
Connecting with the indefatigable wild;
Ravines, valleys, ridges, hills, highlands, downlands,
Passes, turfs, marshes,
Crossing over the wild space, the air space
Just like a railway foot bridge
Connecting one platform from another
Open for the trains and the buses to ply simultaneously
On two side-by-side tracks
Spanning the Brahmaputra and beyond
Which is but people's joy to celebrate it,
A fulfilling of the long-cherished dream
For a double decker.
