The Bones Are Feverish, To-Night Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Bones Are Feverish, To-Night

The bones are feverish, to-night

Yet this be Saint Paul's Day

But the bones steamy burn; the coffin not.

Nor their gray graves.

For in the church of Saint Paul married they.
And it be Saint Paul's Feast this day.
