The Book Of My Life (Sonnet #256) Poem by Tina Baaklini

The Book Of My Life (Sonnet #256)

The book of my life has one title: your name
Each chapter speaks of your love and tenderness
Its cover shows our picture under the rain
Wet we were, yet warmth we felt in togetherness.

Petals of roses adorn each page
Love is all I see— the love of you and me
Here I drew a heart, our nest, home, love's cage
There I drew us hand in hand by the sea.

In poetry, in prose I write about you
Just as my heart sees you, O tender soulmate
Tender, thoughtful, touching, treasured, that's you
You'll forever be my gift from fate.

This book will stand the test of time, you'll see,
For in my soul I'll archive it eternally.
