The Boy Next Door - Poem by nicola burkett

Of all the things i've been hopelessly looking for
I never dreamed that they were hiding inside of the boy next door
Tall dark and hansom a sweet jack the lad
With a heart of gold with just the illusion of being bad
An honest face, melted knee smiles
Clear blue eyes you can see for miles
Strong loving arms I could hide inside
A courageous man I wish to walk beside
Of all the things I’ve been hopelessly looking for
I never dreamed that they were hiding inside of the boy next door
