(This poem is set in an African forest)
Once a giraffe
Set sail on a raft
Across a tumultuous river
To escape a hungry neighbour. (i.e. a lion)
He paddled with his forelegs
And boldly steered his raft ahead!
While the animals on the shore
Applauded him with a roar.
A pilot on a hovercraft
Captured this animal's photograph,
And thus this giraffe became renowned
In every hearth and home.
