The dove of peace
That graced the azure sky
Was shot down
By a nice young guy
Who said he had
Religion in his pockets
And whipped out
A magazine of bullets.
Now tell me friends
Do we need such nice wise guys
To lead us away
From the world's worldly vice?
Dear Deepak ji, I am thankful for your rich compliments. Like Valsa Ma'am has said, we should with one voice stand up against terrorism irrespective of its colour or shade.
Brilliant write and the truth laid bare, yes nice wise guys can create war with their careless actions!
A Beautiful and Succinct write on Peace. Yes, I too agree with Valsa's comment, we should say in one voice that we don't want anybody to shoot down the pigeons of peace. Loved the way you presented it.
Maiming lives in the name of religion defiles human level of three dimensional comprehension. I wonder what goes on in the unhinged minds of religious zealots and bigots. A well articulated poem, nicely penned with insight. A powerful message to foster the Universal Brotherhood Of Man. Kudos Rajesh! Thanks for sharing and remain blessed.

I would like to translate this poem
Let us say in one voice that we don't want anybody to shoot down the pigeons of peace under what ever justification it be! Succinct and thought provoking!
