He heard blasts everywhere
and climbed up to peak.
There he saw his friend,
unable to move and very weak.
He thought about himself
as he witnessed his friend's death.
Tears lurked upon his eyes
and he took a long breath.
Carefully he approached the ground
and began to arrive towards his friend.
His ears popped from the sounds,
as he hurried in distress.
By grabbing his friend's hand
and dragging him back to the trench,
he knew he had to take a stand
and fight back.
