The Carnival,
The Great Brazilian Carnival
With a sea of people following,
Watching the Spectacle,
The Great Spectacle,
The Gala Event,
The Great Gala Event,
The Mega Show,
So European, indigenous and Afro-Brazilian,
Mammoths of crowds
Merry-making, so full of gaiety and joviality,
Mirth and cheers
And in a mood of celebration
The Carnival,
The Great Carnival passing
With singers, dancers and performers
Singing, dancing, performing and passing.
