The Breakdown Poem by Rebecca Springsteen

The Breakdown

Her tears overflow

She doesn't try to contain it at all

Why can't he call?

All of the moments, those

have fallen in a camera film, blows

in the wind then fall.

She hates that wall,

the wall that kept her pride, she knows

it was her fault again, how she made him so aloof.

He thinks it's his fault, her

face is wet, he just needs some proof.

He slowly starts falling apart with her

face in his lap on paper, she was his roof.

He only wish he wouldn't cause her pain, that pretty face he loves, it's her.
