Thank You Poem by Rebecca Springsteen

Thank You

Thank you.
For all the rude comments,
the mean faces, the whispering,
the mean looks.
It hasn't downed my spirit,
it just made me smile.
To know I'm different,
you may not like me,
but I do.
Thank you.
For all the mean laughs,
for your fingers,
for all the hate.
I know I don't seem right in your eyes,
but who are you to judge?
I just take in the world a little bit different,
sure, I have a temper, I fell in love to many times to count,
and all of my dirty looks.
That's all me.
Trust me honey, I've heard it all.

A very assertive and frank write on being true to one's self. Superb!
