Listen to this illustration
I'm telling all the nations
And all the nations with my brothers
My brothers and my sisters
Family in Christ
This is a description
Of all of us that are Christian
And no, this is not fiction
So you better keep
Your ears open
And be ready to listen
There is a bride
Working on her dress
And the rest
Trying to look her best
so that the groom doesn't think she's too messed
and so that He'll think, 'yes -
she's the one I'll marry for sure'
give Him the best
While she’s doing what she's doing
She is doing and she’s waiting
She is cleaning up and fixing
Doing all that she can
Before she’s gets to see
The great bridegroom
Now this is our story
She could be you
She could be me
She could be anyone on the street
She could be him
She could be her
Could be inside or outside the church
Whether it's wrong
Whether it's right
My message is that we have to decide
If you’re gonna be like that bride
And prepare for His coming again
Yes He’s reached out His hand
The hand of a friend
And He has soo much help to lend
And He don’t pretend, no
The first time, that he came
He taught us to love, and not to blame
And this put our enemies to shame
Because all they sought was power, money and fame, yeah
He asks us to be like Him
Otherwise we lose that engagement ring
That He bestowed on us
When He gave love to us
He said He'll be beside us
All the way
What is your answer?
That which in the temporal world seems to be an unique event in time is an ever ongoing process in eternity.
