The Brilliant Dawn Of Morning Poem by Minnie Gehrig

The Brilliant Dawn Of Morning

I sleep in the belly
Of the Beast,
N feast on our love,
the darkness swallows
the taste of your tongue,

I wake hugging pillows,
they are the absence of you,

strings where i have come undone,
ready to live in the
places i have moved to,

letting go n holding on to you,

N i sleep in the belly of the beast,
The curse n the Light
that is our love,
N mark silently where your touch has burned me,
all the way through to bone,

See how it shines like the moon,

I go back to the Mother,
Who consoles me in her big arms,
n whispers in my ear,
Do not mourn these days you are in love,

So i do not turn away from you,
no i try to step into this,
Possibility,
Open armed,
a silhouette of a smile,

N all the Hope the Goddess gives me,
Unfurled at your feet,
open like Roses,
n the brilliant dawn of morning......................................
