The Brown Teddy (Bt) & The Polar Bear (Pb) Poem by Hazel Nut

The Brown Teddy (Bt) & The Polar Bear (Pb)

A little brown smiling teddy,
Dwelled in an igloo lit with fire;
With the big white polar bear,
Snuggling in quilted desire.

On the arctic snow the two chums,
Angled fish and played with seals;
The penguins loved to watch them,
As they shared their saucy meals.

But one day the thin ice cracked,
And BT fell into the ocean,
It called out “PB save me please! ”
Yet PB showed no emotion.

Down sank BT’s red balloon heart,
Tattooed - I LOVE YOU,
While PB with a grimace mumbled:
I’ll go find someone new.
