The But's In Women Poem by Seyi Akin

The But's In Women

At the precipice
The wanderer slipped to her path,
A descent arrayed in comply deceit;
Feigning like a chameleon a thousand times skin shredded.
A breast congealed with venomous milk,
Who spewed this venomous beast leaving her untaught?
A street pugilist in comply exterior,
Untamed anger ravaging, boastfully unmasked.
I have tasted the dregs, this feeble fin and frame
Burned in the coals of avalanche domestic revenges
Spirit infested wrath cascaded and wearied the buoyancy of my dreams
Beware oh Men!
Nay!
Beware of women
Dream snuffers on the loose, promiscuous and libidinous
The good ones are scantily scarce
The perfect are not yet here,
They may never come to this defiled space.
Their BUT'S are many, we chose from the lots
A good face But,
A good shape but,
A comely smile But,
There is always a but, which at first is kept away
You'll find out too soon
"There is always a "but" in every condition,
a crook in every lot,
some dark tint upon the marble pillar,
some cloud in the summer sky,
some discord in the music,
some alloy in the gold."
Except for the BUTS.
Women are beautiful
