The Cactus Poem by East Sea Fairy Xing Yi

The Cactus

I am armed with swords to teeth,
so I don’t need to curry favor with anyone.
I don’t need a garden so fine,
nor a palace magnificently big and bright.
I only love to be in a farmer’s small yard not wide,
to produce swallows in flight.
