Light shimmers away
That I may let you go
And I shiver in the dark
As it begins to snow
Knowing that before it ended
You wouldn't let me know
Why you said the things you did

There be no comfort
In this folley of mine
There be no hope
If you refuse to shine
There be no stars
No light, no dark
If you refuse my love

And I'm just a slave in my mind
I keep getting lost in your eyes
I know that this dream will not last
And it'll go by so fast

Cause you are the candle in the cave
You expel the dark

In the shadows
I will watch you go
And where you go from here
