The Chase Poem by Erin Dawn Deneys

The Chase

Rating: 5.0

Lets play a game of cat and mouse.
With you the clever mouse.
And I the stealthy cat.
Your quick moves will make me hungry.
As I chase you in a hurry.
Round and round the room we'll go.
Until we tumble in a ball.
With sharp but delicate claws.
I'll pin you to the floor.
A grin upon my face.
As I make your heart race.
I'll watch you squirm with greedy eyes.
As you try to escape with your life.
Then to my dismay.
You'll open your mouth.
Letting out a shrill loud cry.
In will waltz the dog.
And yet again I would have lost.
