the only time
that cheating occurred
in the middle of this
monotony is when
a love bird hovers
overa palm of the
hand
and did not move
and when asked to fly
away
it did not
react but just stayed
there like a meek bird
which was even
mistaken as a lost one
having no desire at
all to neither move
nor fly
but the eyes still
stare
like a very calm
river
like a shining
moon in the dark
sky

the cheating if you
care to understand is done
in the name of
love

and it justifies what
stationery means what is it
to give up
the power of flight and
then allows itself to be
merely put inside
this cage.
