The Cherry Poem by Liam ó Comáin

The Cherry

buds growing imperceptively
mature and open
revealing a pink tinge

a floscular mosaic
evolving and culminating
in a pinkish haze

a scentful florescence
attracting my vision
in an april spring

arising like venus
from the middle
of an emerald sward

alas susceptible to showers
of rain cascading from
high moving clouds

an ephemeral floridness
culminating with the bronze
emergence of young leaves
