The Child Wakes When Poem by Mohammad Younus

The Child Wakes When

The child wakes when
in you, the moon smiles.
I bend to lift the stardust.

Innocence is my Dharma.
I am not an amber fossil.
The cool light in my eyes.

I am happy to have recovered.
My child in my breast
Singing the song of Innocence.
