The Choice Poem by Zane Lewis

The Choice

I talked to you everyday you were mine
But a year and a half is such a short time
We were there we were together
That was supposed to be our life forever
I tried I tried I tried
But it wasn't me who let that feeling die
I was Suffocated, I knew what you thought, it was direct
Your insecurity thought I was unloyal so you gave me no respect
So what choice did I really make?
With you or without both are a mistake
A fake happiness I felt with you
Or the pain I now feel through and through.
Whether the choice was wrong or right
You responded with such a hard bite
Your with someone else now and could it be
He is what you always wanted in me
