The Circus - Poem by Rahman Henry

The circus has begun a while ago-
It’s not ending

It’s time now that we join also
But we need to find fake mirrors before that

‘Cuz our faces need to look like clowns without any make-up

We’ll dismiss all the concepts of normal sounds from our vocal cords
From the brains we’ll withdraw the neurons of all our thoughts
Pump out history and past events from the memories
Submit ourselves to the circus-director, the Mr. know-it-all

And we’ll whisper into his ear that any stages on earth are built to be destroyed.

I'm astonished with this poem. It's a master work with no vote at all! What's the hell is going on? ? ? (Report) Reply

This poem brings that to mind and perhaps if we put away the clown outfits and stand our ground in real face, thinking around the corner and speaking truth, we might in future see change. However we have to do it together... (Report) Reply

What a power packed punch on the face of so called agents of change in our society or polity. Honest and emphatic. Thank you, Rahman Henry. (Report) Reply

Once again I'm grateful to you, my dear poet. In our society, we are really tired of all those so called humanitrians and Politicians. Wishes a lot.
