I like these three line stanzas: there's just enough space for a single sharp focused image of the city. And then it's onto the next trio of lines. And your images are not a tourist's view of a Mediterranean city, they seem to be rooted in the perception of a long-time dweller. There is an intimacy in these pictures of a lifestyle which promotes a sense of belonging. I have a similar relationship to my Twin Cities, it's definitely a metropolis of over two million people, but it doesn't feel crowded or under pressure. Your poem shows the graciousness of urban life.
