The City
And day today,
And day tomorrow,
The same street I walk
To work;
Only to walk a little further
Everyday.
No companions,
But acquaintances inanimate.
But day yesterday,
The city called forth,
The good fear, and a leap
Of faith;
Only to walk a little further
Everyday.
