The City On A Plateau Poem by Ismael O. Peralta

The City On A Plateau

From a City of the Pearl of that vast Pacific Ocean
A coach of Bus full of Passengers
Traversing the Lowlands
With its splendor greenery's. The vast sugarcane plantation along the way
Were change with sulfuric sand
Emanating from Mount Pinatubo
That change the agri-landscape scene. Clarkfield, Base of the U.S. 13th Airforce
The only Citadel of defense
In the Far East and the Near East
Was gone no more and no return. As sojourners continue there insights
And enter the Rocky Mountain
Winding road and sharp curve
Were prevalent as seen. On zizag Kennon road rocky steep mountain
Engineered by an American Kennon
With invigorating breezes, in a scenic route
City on a Plateau Baguio Philippines.
