The Clash - Poem by Waseem Sherif

Everything is falling apart
And I'm sitting here, watching
Watching my pitiful heart
Falling back to the start

And it hurts so much
Just to see your eyes
Even my tears were in shock
When I realized you're not mine

They don't want to leave me
Outside, there's a heartless life
They found home in my eyes
I give them warmth to survive

I used to do the same with you
You used to do the same with me
But we were living in a sweet dream
That had to end in the face of reality

Topic(s) of this poem: love, reality, sadness
