The Cliffs Edge Poem by Luna Black

The Cliffs Edge

Out on a cliff
stands someone who is scared.
The distance calls their name
in the lapping of the waves'
encouraging them forward.
Alone they stand
ready for the end.
The jump will set them free
no more pain, or people to tease.
Out on a cliff
stands someone who is done
they stand alone
searching for a home.
