The Closer You Get - Poem by Dean Meredith

Have you ever been so afraid?
You just felt like running
So far away
No-one could find you
But you were so afraid
You couldn’t take one step
And then
By the time you did
You were further
Than you ever dreamed
And you could see
So clearly
All you needed
Was to go back
