The Clown - Poem by james smallwood
Watch the clown as he cavorts by
See the tear in his sensitive eye
Wonder why with the crowds all cheer
The clown would cry
Shed a tear
Could it be that the ringside cry
Is all that the clown is living by
May it be to that
Sensitive eye
That the crowd cheers his act
Not seing the lie
(1995 Salt Lake City)
