The Cockatoos Poem by vince gullaci

The Cockatoos

The screeching
screaming cockatoos
assault on the walnut tree
continues unabated
the nuts almost daintily holed
the inside eaten out
the shells
thrown on the ground
look whole
the piles beneath the canopy
growing like a hoarders dream.
