The Colourless Truth Poem by Mystic Qalandar

The Colourless Truth

This is an exquisite truth:

Saints and sinners,
the extraordinary and the ordinary,
are the same in their essence.

To inquire into a difference
is like asking to sever day from night,
or the reflection from its object—
attempting the impossible
with the slender thread of partial intellect.

But when you possess
a strong and spacious intellect—
the spiritual intellect—
you begin to see:

the truest way to Truth
is through the heart.

After rain,
the colours of the mountain deepen;
what was always there
simply becomes more visible.

And once you become familiar
with the designs of the mind's illusions,
your inkwell will dry.

You will no longer reach
for a brush
to colour the colourless.
