The Comfort Zone Is Not A Place To Hide Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

The Comfort Zone Is Not A Place To Hide

Life has no zones
It is a pendulum that keeps moving
From one moment to another
Fetching all the vibes, negative and positive
Pouring them into the lake of consciousness
Sometimes this vehicle of nature is filled with sunshine and bright skies
A load of positive vibrations that give us peace, happiness and Love
Some other times, this pendulum of life is stiff
Solidified and full of negative vibes
It is full of uncertainty and loaded with turmoil
These are the times of extreme darkness
Selfishness and wickedness are poured into the heart of our collective consciousness
Hatred is spewed into our streets
Anger is solidified and thrown at others
Life becomes a hostile environment
A sharp knife that cuts without mercy
A dark cloud that brings thunder and ferocious gusts of wind to the house of humanity
Puncturing the seat of comfort
Rupturing the vessel of peace
Filling us with sorrow and despair
The comfort zone is not a place to hide
It is through our collective desperation and disgust that we rise above our individual comfort zones
And be the pillars that hold the pendulum of life to stillness
It is the raw power of our collective consciousness that brings change
Allowing the raindrops of peace, happiness and Love to flow into our hearts
