The Common Path

The common path
is not mine
it welcomes me not
its look isn't kind

knowing too well
I'm unlike the rest
who must comply
while I stand unimpressed -

the community
of similar thought
there behoves
follow that I cannot

the hidden path
I've chosen
freedom I now claim
which can't be ever stolen.
